Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

I understand that, do you? Not to mention the fact that it was written by our morally-upstanding (though in some cases slave-holding and womanizing, God-fearing (though mostly deist) Founding Fathers. It's clear as the sky during the "rain" to blame for Georgie-Porgie's little...ah...bicycle mishaps (Clinton's fault, of course).

So how to explain this?

Oh? That's what I thought. This is becoming an epidemic. It may hide under excuses (but Judith Miller went to jail), or even Karl Rove's buttcheeks, but it's there.

Take a picture of that Bill of Rights. It'll last longer.
